The universal spiral has appeared in cultures throughout history as a symbol of interconnectedness within communities, families, and kinship. Our spiral logo reflects this spirit — a metaphor for the sense of belonging and community at the heart of Kinsfolk Magazine. It represents how distinct voices grow, converge, and form a wider creative circle, continually expanding outward while always returning to the core: a kinship where all voices meet, are celebrated, and no one is alone in their art.
Our Mission & Values
Kinsfolk Review is an open-access, multi-genre literary magazine committed to making publication more accessible and open. We publish writing across forms without charging submission or publication fees, and all accepted work is freely available to readers. While we are currently unable to offer payment, we aim to honour each contribution through careful editorial attention and thoughtful presentation, valuing clarity, inclusiveness, and the shared practice of reading and writing.
