Grief
“I’ll call you when I land”- said Dad
I woke up from my dream
the phone still lay silent.
Loneliness
A round table-
smell of coffee
rolls of laughter
me at the square table.
Joy
“Submitted”-
The computer screen smiled,
illuminating.
Fear
Hotel room-
moonless night
corridor of uncertainty
shuffle of feet.
